Richmond Hill Ribfest, 2012

Richmond Hill's first annual ribfest was held at Richmond Green Park, which is at the corner for Leslie St. & Elgin Mills Rd.  I've been to other ribfests before and basically each ribfest is the same...  I came here purely to take pictures (since I've tried these ribs somewhere else).  This place isn't that big at all, and finding a parking spot is not too hard either.  I was here for about 15 minutes and finished approximately 60 shots, not too bad huh?!  =P

 2012 Richmond Hill Ribfest....

 First Annual!!  =D

There are about 6 vendors selling ribs here I think.

 Here is another shot.

I came here at around 2pm, it was packed and crowded.

They purely sell BBQ items here, no skewers at least!!  Heee....

Most (or all) of these rib vendors here have won different ribs competitions.

I think they only sell 3 items here:  rib racks, grilled chicken and pulled pork...not too sure.

 Look at the flame!!  Nice!

 Grilled chicken.

 Full rack!

Here is the 2nd ribs vendor I think.

 Here is another shot.

 Tones of rib sauce here!!

Available for sampling as well (I always think these sauces taste the same)!!

See!! Long line up!!  They're from Alabama!

 Price list.

More grilled chicken and ribs.

They just took these out from the oven or something, now they have to put sauce on it and grill.

Here is a closer shot at the grilled chicken.

Dried chili, a very nice décor.

Uncle Sam's BBQ, from Albuquerque, NM.

Its kinda interesting looking at their board here.

Price list and sauce.

Everyone is working hard here.

Here is a closer shot at the ribs.

There are two dining sections in the area and this is one of them.

I wonder if they really have a roadside bar BBQ stand at their city of where they're from!

Huge line up!

Here is another shot at Uncle Sam's BBQ stand.

Here is Alabama's best BBQ Camp 31.

Beware of hog, interesting!

A closer shot at the big chef!  =)

Other than BBQ ribs, they also have this vendor here selling deep fried onions.

Before....

...And after!  =D

From Alabama again, here comes their lemonade stand.

This vendor here is selling assorted soft drinks.

I've been standing here for over 5 mins just to have this lady walk away so that I can take a picture of whatever flavor this booth has offered, but too bad she was here nipping and trying every single flavor!  Oh well, whoever she is, she is caught on camera!

Grilled corn

Here is a closer shot.

Corn-diments.

This booth here is selling funnel cake.

They have ice-cream here as well.

Selling kettle corn, but since they're on the 'other side' of the site, they aren't busy at all here.

Booth selling beers.  **Sorry, dashing through here 'coz I'm watching Olympic!!  XD....

More picnic tables here but they're all full!!

See how crowded this place is!

Ribfest's performance stage.

Recycling station.  =)

Crazy trash can!!

Free gift....sun spray....

Wash your hands after eating!!  Good job!!

Cute little ribfest balloon.

Amusement rides.

Time to go....

Waaa.......   =D

Apples, but you can't eat them!

  3. I had the ribs at the markham show last year. Not worth the line-up and $$$. I can make better ribs at home, either oven bake, grill or 焖.
