Dog Ride

In rush posting this right now, I just got home not long ago and I have something else to do afterwards, so... Just a short post anyway. Went to Hamilton today, to see waterfalls actually. I've planned to visit 7 or 8 falls but I ended up going to 3 only, not enough time that's why... Worse part: I couldn't find the restaurant that I wanna go and my GPS is not helping at all!! Arrg!! That specific restaurant is not really in Hamilton (as per the internet), its actually somewhere close-ER to Cambridge!!! Shhhh...!! PS, I hand picked a big bucket of nice pebbles from Ontario Lake today!! Will post pics next time~ =D

Saw this while I was driving on the highway...... I mean...driving over 110km/hr......

HOLY!! ......That poor Retriever nearly felt off the truck!!! o_O!!!

I was trying to get really close to the truck so that my husband can take a picture for me!! He purposely rolled down the window to do it too!!

I bet she knows she is on camera!! =D

Assignment: 辨別真偽!! Chi Kong Water Chestnut Starch 岐江馬蹄粉

I did a blog about making water chestnut pudding several days ago. Just during this past weekend while my Mom was hanging around in T&T, she found out the brand that she is currently using (Chi Kong 岐江) has a different packaging! She bought a pack home to compare, but she hasn't make anything from it yet. Well, it doesn't seems that one is a new packaging while the other one is an old packaging... It looks more like one of them is a counterfeit... Your thought??

There are two packs of chestnut starch here. The one below (I call it Exhibit A) is what my Mom bought and recommended. The one on top (Exhibit B) was bought from T&T, don't know if it's real or fake though...

Exhibit B - it has a 'Chi Kong Brand' logo at the top left corner. Other than that the chestnut color is different. There are also a whole bunch of wordings at the bottom right of the box.

Exhibit B - Flip it over and you will see the nutrition fact and bar code, which you won't find this in Exhibit A.

OKay, here is Exhibit A.

Exhibit A - it has the nutrition fact too, but this is printed at the side of the box.

Both Exhibit A & B weight the same - 8 oz (227g). The top one was bought from T&T, $1.67 or something; the other one was bought from a supermarket at Spadina/16th, $2.49 or something.

Exhibit B (top one) only printed these Chinese characters on the side of the box while Exhibit A (bottom) got both Chinese & English characters.

Here is the other side of the box. Exhibit B (top) only has the word 'water chestnut starch' printed on the box while Exhibit A (bottom) displayed the nutrition fact.

Magnet Collection

Mom used to be a crazy magnet collector and she has all sorts of magnets on her fridge. She has now stopped collecting magnets 'coz she has no more space on her fridge to put them! Haha!! Bored at her house doing nothing, I ended up taking pictures of whatever that's available within my reach. I'm only posting some of her collections here... PS, still trying to figure out of how I can take close shots without getting the picture blurry...
